Mel Bochner is associated with the Conceptual and Post-Minimal art movements, whose work explores the concepts of measurement and perception. Easily one of the most important artists of his generation, his work is included in numerous museum collections including the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum, the Metropolitan Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Wexner Center for the Arts, the Centre George Pompidou and the Tate Gallery, and many other public and private collections.
